Now THIS is a beach session!!!

Brides often ask us to explain what we mean when we ask if they'd like to do a beach session. We say, its where you let your hair down and have fun, go crazy, and... I've said have fun already, right? It's the beach! Come on! How do you not have fun?

When Dan approached us three weeks ago to do his wedding, we were surprised. Three weeks? Well, its not every day that we get a job so close to the deadline, but Dan was a great guy with a really spunky personality. We liked him from the minute he walked into the studio and when we met Sheryl, we understood what he saw in her.

Now, talk about a beach session. After the reception had ended we had an hour on the beach with Dan and Sheryl just getting some of the best beach shots we've ever had. This couple was in the sand...and IN THE WATER! Look at those beautiful waves crashing onto that gorgeous wedding dress!!

Some photographers might call that trashing the dress....we call it what needs to be done for pictures like these! Check out those shots!

To any future brides reading: keep this in mind for your own beach sessions.

To any past brides reading: Do you still have your dress? Because we're pretty sure the waves are still crashing on the beach :)

I soooo want to do this, cold freezing waters of march be damned. yet with a 5 hour reception to follow, I might be a bit of a soppy mess, because being a spaz i'll probably loose my footing and trip. maybe a couple of hairdryers might do the trick? hmmm...i must conduct some research

Lots of people (nation wide) that do trash-the-dress do it either right after the reception or the next day, unless your doing a day wedding you could probably look into adding an hour or so for another day (hopefully the following day isn't booked!)

we don't recommend trashing the dress before the wedding is over, you might live to regret that, but once your all done, why not have some fun?
