Meredith and Steven

Some people get into the swing of the season that they choose to get married in, and Meredith chose to accent the fall season with burnt-orange bridesmaids dresses and flowers... mother nature even humored her with an orange sunset!!

Once more we've found ourselves at the Channel Club, but we can't stress enough what a fun location it is. There aren't many waterfront locations that have the benefit of a genuine dock complete with boats. Not to mention, when has a Channel Club sunset ever been anything short of gorgeous??

Meredith and Steven were a couple who really let the flow of the day direct them and they allowed themselves to be directed-- which means the pictures came out awesome :)

At the reception, people could not stop complimenting us on our work but all the credit should really go to our fantastic models, our bride and groom :) Thanks for a great wedding guys!

Carol and Brian

Carol and Brian were a spunky couple, with an equally spunky bridal party, and they had a wedding where we really got to know them through how they planned their wedding. We got to shoot at Manasquan Beach after the ceremony because Brian used to be a lifeguard there. It has to be said that even though beach sessions are supposed to be informal and fun, some people don't get into it. We did not have such a problem with this crew--- Carol looked like a cheerleader being held in the air by her trusted (we hope!) groomsmen.

When we got to Spring Lake the sun was setting and it got so dark that we could barely get the cameras to focus, but check out how we got the color to come back into the sky by lengtening our exposure. Does it look like 7pm? Nope!

But the growing darkness did give us an idea: Main Street in Spring Lake, full of ambient light from storefronts and streetlamps was the perfect place to wrap up our outdoor session with the bride and groom.

When we got to The Mill we had the pleasure of hearing the toasts and we can only hope, as John the bestman hopes, that Brian and Carol's wedding will be full of as much devotion as is usually shown during a beer run in a snow storm (great story!).

Hope you guys enjoy the pictures!

Maryellen and Rob

Maryellen was like a princess on her day: she was dressed exquisitely, she had wonderful locations... and now she'll have amazing photographs to remember them by!

Like a lot of our brides, Maryellen made it to Monmouth University to get some shots inside of Wilson Hall (which truly completed the princess motif of the day!). On Monmouth University: if you ever doubted whether or not booking it was worth the time, just take a look at some of the shots we got to take!!

Another tried and true location is the Shadowbrook. We love working there because the grounds are detached enough that even though we have arrived at the reception location, we keep our bride and groom just separate enough from the guests that we can really get them to let down their hair and give us their real, unbridled personality.

Kelly & Chris

Kelly is another friend of Marissa's and she's also a photographer, so she understood how important planning your pictures can be :) On top of being gorgeous, Kelly also planned for us to head to Red Bank for fun pictures inbetween formals and the Salt Creek Grill.

Just look at those Red Bank shots! We have the marina, the city streets and even a very good Abbey Road Cover impression (although I don't think the Beatles would look as good in a wedding dress!)

It was one of those weddings that reached out and touched your heart. Marissa got the joy of photographing her friend in the beginning and then got to join in the party as a guest as the rest of the team finished photographing the reception.

Kelly, we are so happy you and Chris crashed into each other in this life, we wish you many years of happiness!

Kelly & Brian

Kelly and Brian were married October 3rd with beautiful fall weather and sunshine shinning down on them. Kelly is close to us in many ways, we had the honor of photographing Kelly’s sister Kristin in 2005 and Marissa attended college with her as well. Kelly and Brian met at Monmouth University where their admiration for each other grew into true love over the years.

Or day started in Spring Lake to do some beautiful images of the bride, her girls, and her family. Then we were off to St. Catherine’s church for a stunning ceremony. Of course we couldn’t miss the beach with a gorgeous October sky. We ended up at the Spring Lake Bath and Tennis Club where the room was set with all of Kelly and Brian’s personal touches. The family and friends partied into the night, where even the bride sung with the band. We wish you guys all the best and Kelly keep on singing :) !!!

Jill & Ryan

One benefit to John working as a high school teacher is that his students occassionally come back to their favorite photography teacher when they're looking for a wedding photographer. Jill is one of those special brides that had to have her old photo teacher back in her life (and on the most important day of her life at that!) John also had the pleasure of teaching Jill's siblings so her day was more than a wedding -- it was a mini- high school reunion!

The day unfolded at the beautiful Ram's Head Inn, which was the first time we've shot there. We were so happy to be there, another location to add to our list of favorites! Just look at the grounds! We have to say it was fun finding new places to shoot, especially when we find bamboo to play with :)
