Gina and Russ

Gina has been excited for us to do her wedding since the moment she met us, and we have to say the sentiments are returned. We just love working with calm brides who run on schedule, so Gina's day was a breeze for us!! We started at a hair salon and wound up at the Oyster Point, hitting a little bit of rain and fog along the way at Monmouth University.

We always say we like photographing on cloudy, slightly rainy days because of how the colors pop and flow outside, and we weren't disappointed!

This was a wedding that gave us the opportunity to get creative and really offer some of our top photojournalism!

We hope you enjoy this watching this show as much as we enjoyed shooting our bride :)

Alicia & Mike

Alicia's just been one of those names. This year we have had several Alicias and they've all been very memorable brides. Alicia's day began in her parents beautiful home. The house and day were organized to a "T": well decorated room for formals, refreshments in the kitchen, Miami Dolphin's game on in the den (Alicia just loves her Dolphins!).
It was a hot, sunny day; the ideal climate for a September wedding, and after the church we went over to the Shadowbrook to grab some shade for bridal party formals. It was time trying to get through the large families and bridal party AND spend some quality time with our gorgeous bride and groom while still leaving them time to enjoy their cocktail hour.

This has been one of many weekends spent at the Shadowbrook and we just love taking our couples through their gardens for intimate shots for two...its just the perfect atmosphere! After that, Marissa and Vanessa went up on the roof so they could look down and capture a full group shot of the guests before the reception started.

After that the bride and groom danced their night away and we couldn't help but to sway to the music right along side of them: Congrats you two!!!

Sheryl & Dan

As we previously posted, Sheryl and Dan had a TREMENDOUS beach session and we couldn't resist revisiting those shots in their slideshow! Sorry for the delay you two, it has been some kind of a hectic fall! We've had weddings every weekend and double bookings, not to mention a lot of the girls working in the studio have returned to school (not to mention John's back to teaching again!).

We hope you enjoy the slideshow as much as we enjoyed shooting you! Anytime you want another portrait session, you know who to call!

Tina & Dave

Tina's wedding has been on our calendar for longer than any other bride. Tina has known she was having us photograph her wedding before she was even engaged. The reason? Tina and Marissa have been friends since...forever?

That being said, it's safe to say that everyone at Heyn Photography felt like an integral part of Tina's planning process. Marissa and Vanessa were both bride's maids; John, Larry, Jackie and Cara shot the wedding and we have all been going through the images. Every single one of us felt as though Tina was truly our sister or daughter that day.

Needless to say, none of us slept well the night before because we were so excited for Tina's day. When we got there, we weren't disappointed. Larry took the boys and the rest of us tackled the ladies as hair and makeup were done, judged, re-done and we got to document every step in the process.

Our shock at seeing Tina's vibrant pink shoes was quickly followed by the thought "Oh man, we can have a lot of fun with these!" (and ooooh, we did!) From the house we had a different kind of day, Tina had planned for us to go to Asbury Park for pictures, then Monmouth University and then we would wind up at the Channel Club for the ceremony and the rest of the day. Asbury Park was hot (and crowded!) but it didn't matter. We posed, we strutted, we jumped the barriers to get onto the beach without paying...and the bridal party had fun too :)

At Monmouth University we ran into freshman welcome week traffic (some of those freshman were very confused at who the lady in the white dress was and why she was in Wilson Hall) but we got through it and have some absolutely amazing pictures. Larry and Jackie were "sniping" from the second floor, John was doing formals, and Cara was setting up the classroom shot.

Then it was onto the Channel Club. Marissa, as Maid of Honor, had a reading during the ceremony, teared up as Dave kissed his bride, and then made it through her toast like a champion. Tina kept her composure well too :)

Tina, we've already written this much, and we could undoubtedly write more. May you always know how much we all love you, wish you well, and hope that every day for you is as happy as your wedding.
