Kim and Andy

Kim and Andy are a couple to be modeled after. Sweethearts to the core that simply adore each other whole heartedly! Kim was radiant in her gown and could put a porcelain doll to shame. We had an awesome house session with all of Kim’s loved ones, and got some fantastic shots of Kim glowing. Then we were off to the church where we met the groom and his guys. Andy had a perma-grin on his face waiting for his bride.

Even though there was a definite mist in the air and a brisk wind, this couple wasn’t letting anything rain on their day. We even got over to do some beach pictures with a wind so strong Kim had to take her veil out. But Kim we always told you we love storms and this is why. We had a fantastic day with you two, no matter what the weather we know your love for each other will brighten any stormy day!

Courtney and Michael

Once more this season we had the privilege of photographing old classmates from High School. In the case of Courtney and Michael's wedding Marissa, Jenelle, and Cara knew the two Liska brothers: Michael and Steve.

It's always quite a unique experience to see people go from High School to all grown up and getting married, and this day was especially unique. It was one of those days that really tests your ability: we had a rainy day, the lights got turned off on us in the church (in the middle of formals!) and then it was a race against the sunset, trying to get our beach pictures before all of our light was gone.

But you know what? We made it through and got some amazing shots. Not all the credit goes to us however, we owe Courtney a really big thank you for being so flexible and rolling with all of the punches thrown at her. You have made the short list of our Most Adaptive Brides Ever and we hope you enjoy your photographs.

One Cute Little Baby

We've done weddings for years, and we like them. We consider ourselves good at weddings and we would say all of our brides agree. However, like anyone who does the same thing all the time, once in a while you like to try new things.

After the birth of Marissa's nephew, Max, she took some adorable pictures of him and it got our wheels turning...maybe babies could be a fun photographic addition to the Heyn Photo Family :)

As luck would have it, we had several brides who were pregnant when this idea sprang to mind and Stephanie was immediately interested in having her baby girl, Faye, photographed. So we set a date and time, got out there, and tested the waters. Stephanie, you have an adorable little girl there and we thank you sincerely for giving us the opportunity to photograph her. We hope you're happy with the results :)

Heather and Alan

Some brides find us at bridal shows, some brides surf the web... and some brides are friends of former brides who can't get enough of us :) We are fortunate to have photographed not just Heather but her cousin Kristin DelPino (nee McKelvey) and her good friend Alicia Flynn (nee Walker). It was great that Heather had been talking to both about them about what to expect because she knew exactly what she was in for: pose on that windowsill, let's walk over to the muddy cornfield, how do you feel about sitting on a tree stump for us? (the list goes on)

Heather was blessed with remarkable weather for a late October wedding, it wasn't chilly at all! Even the beach was mild, although the waves were not...there were so many waves at Spring Lake beach that we were constantly dodging all the surfers! Who knew Spring Lake beach could get tube waves like that?
Also, Heather was fortunate that her sister Brynn, also her matron of honor, was up and on her feet a mere 6 days after having her beautiful son, Max. That's what we like to call a trooper:)

Heather, it was great working with you, like the friends and family that came before you, you were radiant, cooperative and very sweet to us the whole day, thanks for a wonderful wedding!
