Now THIS is a beach session!!!

Brides often ask us to explain what we mean when we ask if they'd like to do a beach session. We say, its where you let your hair down and have fun, go crazy, and... I've said have fun already, right? It's the beach! Come on! How do you not have fun?

When Dan approached us three weeks ago to do his wedding, we were surprised. Three weeks? Well, its not every day that we get a job so close to the deadline, but Dan was a great guy with a really spunky personality. We liked him from the minute he walked into the studio and when we met Sheryl, we understood what he saw in her.

Now, talk about a beach session. After the reception had ended we had an hour on the beach with Dan and Sheryl just getting some of the best beach shots we've ever had. This couple was in the sand...and IN THE WATER! Look at those beautiful waves crashing onto that gorgeous wedding dress!!

Some photographers might call that trashing the dress....we call it what needs to be done for pictures like these! Check out those shots!

To any future brides reading: keep this in mind for your own beach sessions.

To any past brides reading: Do you still have your dress? Because we're pretty sure the waves are still crashing on the beach :)

Scott & Mindy

Scott and Mindy were our August 17th wedding at The Water's Edge (we've done so many there recently -- must be that brides know how much we love to shoot there!) We had the perfect beach day including a gentle breeze off the water and a few clouds in the sky providing shade for guests and photographers alike.

We were pleasantly surprised to discover that Mindy is a recording artist who treated her husband to a dance as her cover of "Will you still love me tomorrow?" played.

Well Mindy, given how Scott couldn't take his eyes off of you, we do believe he will love you tomorrow... and every day after that.
