Cara the Incredible!!!!!

I couldn't help myself...I feel in love with a picture Cara took from Gen & Justin's wedding...so I spent some extra time making it look exactly how I was invisioning it...here it is!!

Lisa and Patrick

"What happened to spring?"

We heard that a lot yesterday as a heatwave hit our Point Pleasant wedding, Lisa and Patrick. It was unbearably hot but we managed to work quickly outside and then move to the nice, cool, air-conditioned Crystal Point. Lisa was one of those brides that probably would have jumped in the pool, wedding dress and all, for us if we asked her to, and as you'll see we got some remarkable pictures!

Julie and Bill

Julie and Bill had a truly romantic story about how they found one another...at Disney World! That's right, they met at Disney and one year later Bill proposed right by the castle, isn't that every girl's dream? Despite three waves of tourists that kept filing in around him as he tried to propose, their tale has been picture perfect. Speaking of pictures....

Jessica and Ray

Talk about your rainy day wedding, Jessica and Ray got married with a tornado warning posted! Although lucky for us the storms came early, left early and we got to enjoy shooting the wedding party outside at St. Mary of the Lake, then it was across the street to a lakeside path and dock (where some jealous ducks later chased all 3 photographers back to Marissa's car!). Next was Crystal Point, one of our favorite locations, where Jessica and Ray danced the night away. Despite the weather Jessica was a happy, smiling bride who could really add some sass to her portraits when she wanted to ;)

Laura and Fernando

Laura and Fernando got married at Addison Park and it was a beautiful (and hot!) sunny day in May. They were surrounded by friends and family, including their adorable son Stephen, who developed a bit of a crush on one of the photographers! From a bright, sunny ceremony to an intimate shoot under the stars, Laura and Fernando were a pleasure to photograph.

Elizabeth and Matthew!!

This wedding was particularly special for John. Years ago he shot Elizabeth's sister and really enjoyed his time with the Shuster family...no one was happier than John when they came back to Heyn Photography for Beth's wedding! The day was filled with smiles and laughter as Beth and Matt celebrated their love.

Jen and Ed!

Jen and Ed may have had a rainy day but nothing could dampen their spirits. Hair, yes. Dress, definitely. Was everyone cold? Absolutely! Can you tell in their pictures? Nope. This couple went through rain from every direction and winds that destroyed a few umbrellas for their photos. No matter what mother nature threw at them they still looked amazing. Why you ask? These two just glowed for one another.

There was a bit of juggling so that they didn't see eachother before the ceremony, and being indoors for everything made that a challenge but we succeeded. And you know what? Despite stairways, elevators, and wooden screens it was worth it to see Ed's face when Jen started walking down the aisle.

These two went from galavanting through the rain in Spring Lake to lounging on the couches in The Mill...and every shot was gold. Thanks for a great wedding even on a rainy day!!

Precious Moments

So once again I had the chance to spend some time with Max and take some more baby photos. Even though Max had a horrible cold he was still a wonderful model, with an even better little personality! It’s amazing how many little moments there are in this young stage of life. I ‘m so glad I can be apart of them :)

May is here!

Patrice and Rob were the first wedding of May '08 and we had such a great time! The weather even held out for us while John and I shot in the park with our favorite videographer Rob Adams shown below doing some seriously fantastic work behind the camera.














The reception was such a fun time I even caught John whistling along!

Jamie & Justin

On April 25th John, Janelle, and myself (Marissa) had the privledge to photograph Jamie and Justin's wedding. Jamie & Justin were married at the gorgeous new Crystal Springs Resort in the Mountains of North West New Jersey. It did not even feel like we were still in New Jersey. The resort it self was pristine and was a photographer's dream playground. The outside had a perfect backdrop that looked like it was painted just for us.

Our bride had a very special connection to Heyn Photography, Jamie is John’s niece. We couldn’t ask for a more cool, calm, and extremely fun bride! She was stunning from head to toe. It was an absolute treat to photograph someone who is so full of life and truly wanted to enjoy every single part of her day! Justin looked amazing as well. He was having the time of his life with his family and friends, and of course basking in the idea of having Jamie as his new wife. During the reception there were very few dull moments that the dance floor wasn’t crammed and vibrating from everyone’s dancing feet. There was even a roar of the New York Rangers chant from the groom and groomsmen in the background of the music. The night ended up with a lovely cake in the face ritual from both the bride and groom. Luckily, no one was too angry at each other and instead embraced with a kiss. We had a blast being apart of this awesome wedding! We hope you enjoy their slide show.
